6th L.E.A.D. focuses on life-long skills that students will utilize throughout their school career including organizational skills, goal setting, note taking skills, reading strategies, test taking skills, research, and communication skills.

Sixth grade social studies begins with a unit on map skills then focuses on the characteristics of civilization as exhibited by the ancient civilizations of the Fertile Crescent, Egypt, India, China, Japan, Greece, and Rome. Then the same characteristics are examined in the Middle Ages of Europe, the Renaissance, and the Reformation.
