Classroom Rules
1. Listen carefully.
2. Follow directions.
3. Work quietly.
4. Respect others.
5. Respect school and personal property.

Rewards
Positive Tally Marks:
When the class chooses to follow the rules, I will give them a tally mark. When they receive 20 tally marks, we will do something special. They may earn these tally marks in the classroom, special area classes, hallway, computer lab, and cafeteria.
Behavior Bingo:
The children may earn bingo squares by following the rules. When they get a square they write their name on it and put it up on the Behavior Bingo chart on the door. When a complete row is filled, those children earn a reward. Some of the rewards include extra recess, helping in a kindergarten or first grade classroom, and choosing a prize from the prize box.
Clermont Cares Reward :
Each month there will be a reward for all the children who have been following the Clermont Cares expectations. At the end of the year there will be a special field trip or activity day for the children who have successfully followed the Clermont Cares expectations.
Consequences
I use the 1-2-3 Magic Program for effective discipline. When a child does not follow a rule they get a 1 (They put their clothespin on the green 1) as a warning. If a rule is not followed again they move it to the yellow 2. If they get to 3, they have a time out either in the classroom or at recess. If they get to 3 two times in a day they fill out a classroom time out action plan (this is a different action plan than the more serious school wide Clermont Cares Action Plan). It will need to be signed by a parent and brought back to school.
If a child is not "Fight Free" (this includes any type of assault) they will take down the class fight free flag and miss the monthly reward. If the assult is serious, they will be sent to the principal and she will contact the parent. The child will take down the school fight free flag and miss the end of year reward.
