A few Reminders:
1.) Papers came home for our RACE FOR EDUCATION fundraiser. We have done this in year’s past and it is our only big fundraiser of the year. Money earned will go towards things like books, technology, field trips, and other things to help your children. Please consider helping out. The kids benefit greatly from donations.
2.) A paper discussing EXTRAMATH.ORG came home with directions on how to sign up your child to practice their addition and subtraction facts each night. This is a great website that allows your children to practice their addition and subtraction facts to help them with their automaticity and accuracy. It keeps track of their progress and sends me and you weekly updates to let us know how they are doing. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will help you the best I can. This is a great alternative for those of you who do not have flashcards at home. Please consider signing your child up.
3.) A reminder that to volunteer with kids in school and go on field trips it is now a requirement to get your clearances. They must be on file with the district office by the time of volunteering. If you have any questions about this please call Mrs. Gajecki at 786-2546 and she will help you. Thanks.
4.) Please make sure your child is reading for 20 minutes at night, as well as practicing their addition and subtraction flash cards for 5 minutes. These two things make a huge difference in how successful your children are with their reading and math skills.
5.) If you have any questions about anything please do not hesitate to write a note in your child’s homework book, email me, or call and we can get together and talk.
- Please read each night for 20 minutes.
- Flash cards should be done for 5 minutes.
- Get in touch with me please if you have any questions and we can talk.
